parkville region. here's a quick, live look at traffic. an update at dulaney valley. so far so good. this is providence. a smooth ride. 83's checking out ok. no delays on 70. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> we are following breaking news out of south baltimore. a fire on battery avenue. >> kim dacey is live on the scene with the details. >> the fire is happening a couple of blocks behind us. several blocks away, you can see the smoke and smell the smoke.

the apparatus is closing several roads. we have some information as they are still actively the fire. it started in late rowhouse in the 1200 block of battery avenue. the fire started on the first floor and spread to the second floor and to some of the adjoining town homes. those town homes were evacuated. neighbors are out on the street. it is quite a scene. we spoke to the son of the homeowner. he said six people were inside. those people were able to get out. firefighters confirm that nobody was seriously concerned. a firefighter was injured. he fell from a ladder. his injuries are not life- threatening. we will go back to the scene.

the sub crashed into a tree. a handgun was recovered from the as you t suv. three people are in custody in connection with a weekend shooting. this happened in woodlawn. one man was taken to the hospital. >> howard county police arrest a man in connection with the peeping tom case. he was arrested on friday. police say numerous tips led them to the man after the video was shown on thursday. he used hidden cameras to secret

47 right now at the airport. you can see these shades of green and yellow. that is some very warm air pushing in from the south. 70 degrees in kansas city. we will see a big bump in the temperatures. high temperatures from 68 to 72 degrees. a lot of sunshine today. the wind will be 5 to 10 miles per hour. by tonight, we will see increasing clouds. upper 40's across the majority of the area. not as cold tonight. a warm front continues to lift into the mid atlantic. some minimal rain chance is. minimal rain mainly in the

northern counties of maryland. in northern baltimore county, carroll county, you could see a couple of sprinkles on tuesday. most everybody else will state dry. we have to watch out what could happen in the tropics. a tropical system has not developed but there isn't 80% chance that it will -- but there is an 80% chance that it will. models taken up north into cuba. this will be tricky for the seven-day forecast. it could bring some decent rain by sunday night into monday. 76 tomorrow.

going on. >> the firefighters are still fighting the fire on battery avenue. we received a phone call at 3:46 this morning. the drilling had smoke and fire. so occupants had exited the home. three adults and three children. which transported them to an area hospital for precautionary measures -- just to make sure everybody is okay. >> there was a firefighter that was injured. >> he has been transported at this time. >> why is it taking so long to fight this fire? >> there is a heavy fire load inside the home.
